"GENERAL POETRY" - featured writer

criteria/description:

• You would write an article about "GENERAL POETRY" style writing.
• Your article must be a minimum of 1,000 words. The longer the article... the better.
• In your article, you may highlight a published writer - providing their bio and if you choose and a sampling of their work. Include pictures of the person if you can obtain them. Note: you must credit any source (print, or electronic) where your information is gathered.
• You may submit a few pieces of your own work writing GENERAL POETRY in the article.
• Offer your advice/insight/experience/style in the art of GENERAL POETRY writing.
• Material submitted must carry a rating of "PG13."
• Work must be spell and grammar checked thoroughly.

• Because you are writing this article, you will need to provide a brief bio of yourself. Please keep it to a MAXIMUM of one paragraph, with no more than 5 sentences.

SUBMISSION OF WORK FOR PUBLICATION:

• Work is submitted via e-mail only. 
• You may choose either option:
  1. In an attached TEXT [ .txt  ] FILE. (This is the preferred method)
     * ALL versions of Windows has the program you need to use... it is Notepad - found in Windows Accessories. NOTE: E:Z will not accept .doc files.
  2. You may submit your writing directly into an e-mail message. Copy and paste it from your word processor directly into the body of the e-mail.
• If you are sending graphics to be included in your article, the following file formats are accepted:
  • .gif, .jpg, .psd, .tiff, .bmp
• If you choose to include graphics in your article (highly recommended, but not required) please ZIP the graphics and the .txt file of your article together. It makes it easier to send, and easier to receive here at E:Z. If you are unfamiliar with zipping files, obtain WinZip - a simple utility for file compression.

miscellaneous information:

• All applications will be considered.
• You do not have to be a published or a recognized writer to be considered for publication.
• If you application is accepted, you will be notified by the Editor in a timely manner.
• This page of criteria will serve as your instructions for your assignment.
• Once an application is accepted, and you are notified, you will have up to 30 days to submit your article.
• If you do not think you can submit your article within 30 days, please do not fill out the application.
