new wave writing in prose: abraham lincoln rocks my world. (this letter can be found on the walls within brasenose college, oxford university. why? because it is " a model of purest english, rarely, if ever, surpassed.")

executive mansion
washington, nov. 21,1864
to mrs. bisby, boston, mass,
dear madam.
i have been shown in the files of the war department a statement of the adjutant general of massaachusetts that you are the mother of five sons who died gloriously on the fields of battle. i feel how weak and fruitless must be any word of mine which should attempt to beguile from the grief of a loss so overwhelming, but i cannot refrain from tendering you the consolation that may be found in the thanks of the republic they died to save. i pray that our heavenly father may assuage the anguish of your bereavement, and leave you only the cherished memory of the loved and lost, and the solemn pride that must be yours to have laid so costly a sacrifice upon the altar of freedom.
yours very sincerely and respectfully,
abraham lincoln

new wave writing from me. (yes it's published)

"author unknown"
joshua?
no one is leaving.
carry me to your forgiveness
how cold it is i am
bitter nirvana why don't i become a temple
to all the faithful departed i am mourning for?
light my way.
mystery dominates i cry.
did you come to play the saviour?
how cold it is you are
claiming higher laws dictate your fate
and you are condemned to swim the sea
moist with mediocrity.
split personalities sin within.
someone inside screams
how cold it is we are
moving back and forth from convictions
conscience and confusions.
who am i?

new wave writing in lyrics

"blame it on me"
steven page and ed robertson (of the barenaked ladies)
here we are again
and we're looking at each other as if
the other were to blame
you think you're so smart
but i've seen you naked
and i'll probably see you naked again
milli vanilli told you to "blame it on the
rain"
but if you blame it on the rain tell me
what can be gained, so
if all else fails you can blame it on me
chorus
if all else fails you can blame it on me
if all else fails you can blame it on me
if all else fails blame it on me
if all else fails you can blame it on me
then you smile again
but you're looking at me like there's
something i'm supposed to say
forgive me father
but i'm falling in love and that's all i
have for confession today
maybe if you asked me on any other
given day
i wouldn't have time for you or anything
that you say
but it's all right now you can blame it on me
chorus
yes dear i love you
but sometimes i think that love's not
enough for you
so you want to play mind games
well that's fine go ahead la la la i
can't hear you
here you are
and you're a hundred thousand miles
away
they say that absence makes the
heart grow fungus
i wax poetic as you're waxing your
legs
you say you think there's a traitor
among us.
